EP 27: Brian Boitano-h my balls! (featuring guest Markkus Ellis)

Markkus Ellis joins the guys on the bench for this episode hosted by Eric. In the episode we learn about NBA sixth man award winners, that in the 90's NFL QBs threw a lot of INTs, Eric LOVES the Mighty Ducks movies, he also writes a solid pre & post game, but then ruins all the good credit he made by asking a fourth quarter question that is nearly impossible.

EP 26: The Continuing Story of Snoopy and Prickly Pete (featuring guests Peter Andolina & Philip Sandford)

Geek Bowl teammates team up against each other for this one! Peter Andolina and Eric take on Philip Sandford and Dan in a game hosted by JJ. In the episode we lose ALL of our potential sponsors (looking at you Olive Garden!). We THINK JJ MIGHT like Drew Brees, just a guess though. And JJ struggles with some challenging team names.

EP 25: It's a Soft A (featuring guest Scott Barber & Wesley Wells)

Two members of the Sinister Six trivia team join the bench to face Scott & Matt. Dan hosts with a duplicate Deans List (Ooops!), a bear of a Missing Link round, a David v Goliath that gets swept, and a new high score is set.

BTP Fantasy Banter

In this Bonus Episode Scott and Eric discuss all the ins and outs of Fantasy Football while Matt pretends to sound smart listening to them and laughing once in a while. We go over some positions tiers, some sleepers, draft strategies and some fantasy football oddities.

EP 24: Flirting with the Mendoza Line (featuring guests John Pina & Trey Kelso)

Guests John Pina and Trey Kelso join the bench for a wild game hosted by Josh. In the episode, one team almost gets blanked in Pre & Post Game; but luckily didn't get traded for a player to be named later. Both teams also struggle with NFL Pick Six leaders. We also learn that The Simpsons have had a lot of athletes on their show, and that both teams know the NHLer who loves to lick. Lastly, John reveals that his sister's name is actually Yamaguchi Pina.

EP 23: You thought we were done with Omaha? (featuring guest Nicolle Neulist)

Guest Nicolle Neulist joins us for a fun, exciting game that will have you singing along! Nicolle teams up with Eric in a nail biter against Scott and Dan. The players attempt to use the “Know Your Host” strategy to answer Matt’s questions involving Beastie Boys lyrics, triple crown winners and Polish soccer stars. Matt also spins us right round like a record in the 4th quarter. And we THINK Matt's wife is from Nebraska... not sure though. 

EP 22: Breaking News and Breaking Records (featuring guest Eric Walling)

Guest Eric Walling joined the bench for a very interesting game hosted by Eric Ede. In it we get some breaking news, Eric Walling sets a new record in How Low Can You Go, Eric Ede loses control multiple times, not much is known about the 1990 NBA assist leaders, everyone wants Rick Pitino to have Ryan Fitzpatrick's beard, and Eric Ede comes up with two virtually un-answerable 4th quarter questions. Oh, and Eric Ede just gives the teams the answer to a question. Classic Beanchwarmer move bro!

EP 21: The Ballad of Ol' Bibby Smith

This was an episode recorded in June and we pushed it back with so many great guests on the show. But we figured we had to get it out sometime. Enjoy! 

 

Evidently Eric didn't know that Elton John was from the UK, but he thinks Sir Charles Barkley MIGHT be British. And there's some confusion about who had an affair with LeBron's mom... Either way, Eric and Mason take on JJ and Dan while Scott mixes a nice spread of easier questions with some challenging one. 

EP 20: I Met Him At The Cheesecake Factory (featuring guest Taylor Schroll)

Houston native Taylor Scholl joins the podcast which is great, but the only problem is that he is facing the juggernaut team of Eric and Dan. Can Taylor and benchwarmer JJ overcome the odds? In this episode we learn that palindromes are ALWAYS correct, that Wayne Gretzky is the far superior brother, and that apparently you can walk into a Cheesecake Factory and meet a plethora of famous people! Wait until the end for a fourth quarter JJ meltdown. :-)

EP 19: Pre-Meditated Soup Assault (featuring Adrian Dater)

Adrian Dater, editor-in-chief of Colorado Hockey Now (coloradohockeynow.com), teamed up with Eric against Josh and Dan in a game hosted by Mason. The teams show off their knowledge of team mascots and Marlins players (even though they thought they didn't know that many), Mason is once again given a hard time for older sports questions, Eric somehow remembers a terrible song about basketball, and everyone has to wonder what might cause someone to throw a bowl of soup.
